Lady Panthers double up on Hardee with 14-7 win

Typically middle school basketball games are not high scoring affairs so strong defense is important to make the opponent’s scoring chances even fewer than normal. The DeSoto County Middle School girls’ basketball team played strong defense and held the Wildcats to just seven points in their 14-7 win Jan. 9.

Panthers Coach Chris Roberts was also proud of his offense. While the team didn’t exactly burn out any lights on the scoreboard, it was due partly to a new offense Roberts had installed just three days before the game.
