ENGLEWOOD — Even when Stephen Swierkosz was a sophomore, Lemon Bay coach D.J. Ogilvie had an inkling that he might be a captain for the Manta Rays someday.

Swierkosz made his coach’s premonition come true two years later. The Lemon Bay players voted Swierkosz to be a captain along with Jimmy Hinck, Quinn Morrow, Brian McGill and Harry Sheppard.
