Friday night can’t come soon enough for DeSoto County varsity football players. Finally, they get the opportunity to square off against other players rather than their own teammates. Tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. the Port Charlotte Pirates come to town to play the Bulldogs in the Kick Off Classic.

The Pirates had their best season ever last year, yet beat the Bulldogs by less than a touchdown. The Pirates are still going to be strong this season, but the new-look Bulldogs are going to be a better team, too.
