A renewed request for more pickleball courts at Venice’s Hecksher Park didn’t fall on deaf ears Monday so much as it did an empty wallet.
Marta Carpenter had previously made a pitch to add lines for pickleball to one of the tennis courts at the downtown park. She was back before the city’s Parks and Recreation Board Tuesday to try to address objections tennis players raised at its April meeting in her absence.
