This shady triangle of land north of Barcelona Avenue was designated as a city park in John Nolen's original plan for Venice, but there's no sign saying that - or even that it's a park. The City Council voted last week to call it and three other pocket parks "Nolen Greens," and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board approved calling it Madrid Park on Monday. The City Council will vote on the recommendation later.
