Man tried to rape girlfriend, police say

Two months after meeting a man through a dating website, a Venice woman’s date went terribly wrong.
Venice Police responded in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 13, when a woman reported to 911 that she was strangled by her boyfriend and that he tried to rape her.
