ENGLEWOOD — Representatives from Englewood Community Coalition, Kay Tvaroch and Kim Clark, headed to Atlanta, Georgia, recently to join nearly 2,000 substance-use prevention and treatment specialists from around the world for the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America’s 16th annual Mid-Year Training Institute.

The Englewood Community Coalition received a five-year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, specifically awarded for the purpose of reducing substance abuse among youth and, over time, reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing factors in the community that increase the risk of substance abuse as well as promoting factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
