Suncoast Humane Society sponsored a Guys as Dolls fundraiser Saturday night at Englewoods on Dearborn. The drag-queen fundraiser packed the house with supporters of the humane society.

The Humane Society operates a shelter and much more through individual donations, wills, bequests and grants from foundations. They receive no local, state or federal government aid, or money from national humane societies, SPCA or other animal protection/ welfare organizations. The continuation of the programs depends solely upon community support.
