CHARLOTTE COUNTY — The Charlotte Florida Education Association, Charlotte County’s teachers’ union, set up a 10-by-10 supply closet full of classroom materials for new teachers in its office in Port Charlotte this year.

Teachers could come into the office to pick up the supplies they needed for free after the new teachers breakfast and orientation held last Wednesday.
