The "awning" put by by a Seminole Apartments tenant more than two years ago is the source of a dispute that's gone viral on social media.

A resident in the affordable-rent Seminole Apartments, on U.S. 41 in South Venice, recently ramped up his creative protests against the owners for issuing an eviction notice.

Jeffrey M. Reckahn, the tenant facing eviction, was out protesting last week with signs that read “Illegal Apts. for Rent.”
