Shelters to open for cold front

Three cold weather shelters will be open countywide the next few days, including Venice's Grace United Methodist Church on Field Avenue.

Three shelters will be open Wednesday and Thursday nights due to this week’s cold front.
A predicted drop in temperatures to the mid to low 30s has Sarasota County Emergency Management officials reminding residents to be prepared.
