PUNTA GORDA — Five Punta Gorda elementary students were honored Thursday at the Punta Gorda Police Department’s Do The Right Thing ceremony, which recognizes local youth each month for their achievements.
Children are selected from a pool of nominees for their outstanding efforts involving academics, athletics, community service, conservation or any other occasion where a child is trying his or her best to “do the right thing.”
