VENICE — In the weeks following the firing of Indians football coach John Peacock on April 25, the Venice community had an array of mixed reaction — with many calling for the reinstatement of the 11-year coach, and others supporting the school’s decision.

One of the most vocal supporters of Peacock’s reinstatement was Bill Buck Chevrolet owner Robyn Calkins.
