Before he worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency, Jack Bohan began his second hitch in the Navy serving aboard a destroyer during the Korean War.
“I was discharged from the Navy after my first hitch in early April 1950. Eight weeks later, I was recalled and went aboard the USS Bache (DD-470) as a 2nd class petty officer when the war broke out in June 1950,” said the 83-year-old, who now lives in Englewood Isles. “The Bache was part of a carrier task force based in Key West.
