CHARLOTTE COUNTY — A new state directive is drawing fire from the League of Women Voters and some election supervisors as “anti-voter,” but nothing will change in this county.
This week Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner issued an order to all 67 supervisors of elections that underscores restrictions on where and how voters can return their completed absentee ballots. As a result, anyone who wants to vote by mail will need to return ballots to elections offices only, as opposed to dropping them off at more convenient locations.
