Flatbed wrecker stolen from business

PORT CHARLOTTE — Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for a brightly painted flatbed wrecker that was taken from a local towing business over this past weekend. The owner of Clune’s Auto Body, located at 23415 Janice Ave. n Charlotte Harbor, reported that when he arrived at work Monday, he discovered that his 2007 Ford F650 flatbed wrecker was not where it should have been. The truck had been secured at the business on Friday. The vehicle has brightly colored flames painted on the hood and front fenders that fade into blue and black toward the doors. The business name information is stenciled on both doors and it has a Florida tag D6149B. The truck has been entered as a stolen vehicle.
