At least one person was injured and had to be airlifted to a trauma center after a vehicle crashed into a house in the11000 block of Oceanspray Boulevard in Englewood Thursday afternoon. Additional information was not available at press time, see the Saturday Englewood Sun for more information.

ENGLEWOOD — The owner of an Englewood house plowed through by a vehicle Thursday afternoon says the incident could have been worse if he had been home.

Robb and Joy Wells were on a business trip in Virginia on Thursday afternoon when a man identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as 66-year-old Ronald Kaplan inexplicably drove his pickup through the Wells’ home in the 11000 block of Oceanspray Boulevard.
