William V. Hand (aka “Wink”) was a fourth-generation Florida native born in 1908 in Sarasota. I wanted all of you to know where Wink’s Old Town Grill got its name from. When you go there you might be a little curious about all the Florida history on the wall. You might be a little busy eating a great meal to look up and notice, but it’s all there.

Owners Matt and Natalie White have been able to serve a huge menu and selection in a small space located between Mike’s Aquarium and the local Sears store at 451 Indiana Ave., Englewood.
