On Nov. 7, I met members and former members of the Englewood Family History Class. They came to bid fond farewell to their leader, Lorraine Ide and to celebrate her birthday. Lorraine turned over the reins after about 25 years of guiding the group.
Some members read their stories, all of them paid verbal tribute to their teacher who encouraged them to put their life stories on paper. I am pleased to share member Gail Eason’s tribute. I felt it said what everyone else was thinking.
