Far from robust, our recovery from the Great Recession is fragile and uncertain, but experience suggests that Florida is once more ready to outpace the nation in vigorous growth, based on its attractive climate and the opportunities from growth based on the baby boomer population reaching retirement age.
Statistics suggest the platform for growth is here. But my conviction is based on living with the fits and starts of the roller coaster ride that has been Florida’s growth since our family moved to Miami Beach during the Great Depression, 77 years ago.
