We moved to Port Charlotte in June 2008. That November, at Arcadia’s Live Oak RV Park, residents who met as a nondenominational church invited me to fill their pulpit. A few weeks later, I became their seasonal pastor.
After two years, my wife became their choir director. Just when we’d found our niche, I needed surgery. Unexpected complications and extensive rehab time kept me away for two months.
