Recently I got to chatting with a woman who is new to Englewood. I asked her how she and her husband were enjoying the area. She said it was too late now but they would never have moved here if she had known about the mosquitoes. She said the real estate agent who sold them their house never said there were mosquitoes here. For six months of the year, she said she can’t go out of the house. And she lives in an area that gets regular spraying.

Whatever would she have done back in the good old days? She would not have made a good pioneer.
