The “Price Is Right” July Fourth game show was patriotic. All contestants belonged to United States military branches. It was impressive to see a studio audience filled with soldiers and sailors attired in their dress uniforms.

If your efforts to live for Christ have been attacked by the devil, then it shouldn’t surprise you that one New Testament metaphor used to represent Christ’s Church is an army. In Philippians 2:25, New International Version, Paul notified believers in Philippi, “It’s necessary to send back … Epaphroditus, my brother, co-worker and fellow soldier, ... whom you sent to take care of my needs.”
