Mark Crews needed an iPhone — or something like it — to make his idea work better. But it didn’t exist yet.
“I needed a thin lightweight device with integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, Google maps, something you could see in the sunlight. I said, ‘Someone needs to invent something like that.’ A year later the iPhone came out,” said Crews, a member of the prominent Heartland Crews banking family.
