Flatbread of Englewood is one of those places you go to enjoy not only the fine food but to relax. Karen and Glenn Comeau were in the restaurant business in Boston and moved on to the remodeling side as well as the food side. That is abundantly clear with the handmade woodwork that surrounds you. I want you to specifically take note of the benches at the counter. You won’t see anything like them around here, I promise.
Another thing you won’t see around here is the choice of pizzas that are offered. I asked Glenn which was his most popular and he came back with the Italian sausage with Vidalia onion and herbed ricotta. The second biggest seller is the jalapeno, spinach, scallion, onion, chicken and Fontina cheese. The most interesting is the sweet potato, apple bacon and fried oregano. That is a white pizza. One that stood out to me was the exotic mushroom with baby spinach, and herbed ricotta in a white pizza. There are others to be sure and they are all quite different than other pizzas you will find in the area.
