"Invitation To The Dance" is based on the piece of of music the same name, by Carl Maria Von Weber and Hector Berlioz. It will feature bassoon player John Stinespring.

Cello player Norma Wanegar will perform Sunday with fellow members of the North Port Symphony.

NORTH PORT — Dancers and the North Port Symphony will work together in the symphony’s next concert, “Invitation to the Dance.” The concert will feature award-winner dancers Kelle Chancellor and David Chancellor at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Performing Arts Center, off Price Boulevard.

It will feature some of music that has inspired dance, and vice-versa — from ballet to ballroom.
