When those of you who follow this column read today’s article about two very different ladies with very different cars, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The oldest automobile is a 1995 Corvette special edition Indianapolis 500 Pace Car that was a surprise gift to Mrs. Dolly Wilson from her husband of 53 years.

He, William “Bill” Wilson, knew how much she liked the color purple, and when he learned it was deep purple with arctic white trim available at a Collector Car Dealer in Lancaster, Ohio, he made a quick quiet purchase. That was 2012 and he presented it to Dolly as a surprise anniversary gift. She was overwhelmed, and it was love at first sight just like years ago when they met. Wow!
