PUNTA GORDA — For five students who wanted to fly, being taken under a role model’s wing made for an exciting Sunday.

The students were young women in Port Charlotte High School’s beginning aerospace technologies class, and they were visited by three female ambassadors from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach campus.
