MURDOCK — Charlotte County will be ready next month to permit a new long-term maintenance plan for Stump Pass.

State park officials will play a big role determining what direction the maintenance plan will take, Michael Poff told the county’s Beaches and Shores Advisory Committee Thursday. Poff — vice president of Coastal Engineering Consultants — is the consultant overseeing development of the management plan.
