MURDOCK — “This is sobering information that makes your shoulders droop,” Carrie Blackwell Hussey, executive director of the United Way of Charlotte County, said.
She was referring to the “2013 Charlotte County Community Assessment” report. The 160-page document took a year to prepare, and identifies the needs of Charlotte County residents in six key categories — education, health, family services, employment, poverty and transportation.
