ENGLEWOOD — Lisboa BBQ, purveyors of authentic Portuguese open-fire charcoal barbecue, will soon be opening a new restaurant on the site of the former Dairy Queen, 2110 Placida Road, across from Lemon Bay High School.
Leasing agent Maria Almeida who represents the Fernandez family, owners of this and another Lisboa BBQ restaurant in Verona, N.J., said, “They are just waiting for final inspections from the city, the fire department, etc. Everything is ready, even the sign out back. The inside looks fantastic. You should see the barbecue pit they put in. It alone cost $15,000.”
