NORTH PORT — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday it is conducting a criminal investigation involving North Port Police officers, but did not offer any details.

Community Affairs Spokeswoman Wendy Rose declined to give the names or number of officers involved, when the investigation was opened, or when it was expected to be completed.
