ENGLEWOOD — Labor Day may seem a long way off, but not for those who want to plan for a successful Englewood 2014 Pioneer Days celebration.

The volunteer organizers plan their first meeting at 6:30 tonight at the Elsie Quirk Library, 100 W. Dearborn St. The hope is that businesses, individuals, and nonprofit and civic groups will join them in the planning effort, said J. Erick Phelps, who has been helping to organize events for six years.
