To sell or not to sell

ENGLEWOOD — The Englewood Water District could decide Thursday whether to sell 30 acres to Sarasota County to maintain the property as environmentally preserved lands.

Acting on behalf of the Sarasota County Environmentally Sensitive Lands Protection Program, the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast approached the water district last year for the purchase of 30 acres east of the Englewood YMCA, north of Seahorse Drive, and abutting the Myakka State Forest and Ainger Creek.
