John Wildman, a former Englewood resident, is excited his “post-feminist” slasher movie about cannibalistic strippers will be screened in the Sarasota Film Festival.

Wildman, of New York, said he grew up in Englewood and went to Englewood Elementary School and Lemon Bay High School. He’s proud that the movie he directed and has been working on for the last few years, “The Ladies of the House,” will be screened close to home.
