ENGLEWOOD — There was no fancy gift basket giveaway, cake or balloons in the office to celebrate the recent 3,000th visit to the Englewood Community Care Clinic. However, physicians volunteering to serve the needy were elated to know they are making a difference.
“We have about 1,800 patients at the Englewood Community Care Clinic,” executive director Beth Harrison said of the facility, which opened its doors at 6868 San Casa Drive in Englewood in January 2011 through a team of regional physicians and nurses willing to work for free.
