ENGLEWOOD — Sarasota County on Friday outlined the plans and set the pace for restoration work a Manasota Key property owner must complete on a mangrove wetland he clear-cut and filled.

The order requires the property owner, Paul Maurer, to plant red, black and white mangroves and other native, coastal vegetation along the wetland’s perimeter to replace the area he cut. He must also remove fill deposited in the wetland and either remove or get an after-the-fact permit for the fill on the upland portion of his property.
