International Chalk Festival coming to Venice

Venice city leaders voted unanimously this week to officially approve bringing the Sarasota Chalk Festival to South County.

The international festival, which attracts thousands and is expected to have a $10 million impact on the area, will take place Nov. 14-17 in three locations in Venice, including a block on Miami Avenue between Nassau Street and Nokomis Avenue in the downtown area.
