ENGLEWOOD — The Oyster Creek Needle and Arts Group presented Pat Knox, of St. David’s Episcopal Church, Friday with six plastic mats to be distributed to the homeless.

The knitting group fashioned the mats from recycled plastic grocery bags. The idea is that the mats will insulate the chronic homeless from sleeping on cold or wet ground.
