Shirley A. (nee Petrick) Boczar, 77, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013.
She was born May 21, 1936, in Clymer, Pa.
Shirley worked for 18 years in the corrugated box industry, ending her career at Allegheny Container. She then worked part time at the former Deer Run Golf Course. Shirley retired to Englewood in 1999. Before retiring to Englewood, she was a member of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Parish in Harwick, Pa. Shirley was a former member of the Myakka Pines Golf Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, and the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Richard) Dobrzynski and Beth Ann Stockdale; son, Bruce (Kimberly) Boczar; grandson, Matthew; and sisters, Marjorie (George) Barto, Janet (Michael) Feyen and Patricia (Gene) Oblinsky. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Casmer “Casey”; her parents, John and Katherine Petrick; and brother, John Jr.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at St. Raphael Catholic Church, with a private interment at Gulf Pines Memorial Park.
