Lloyd K. Elmore, 86, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Dec. 15, 2013.
He was born May 2, 1927, in Mooresville, Ind.
Lloyd moved to the Englewood area from Rensslear, Ind. He retired from Massey-Ferguson and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, of 68 years, Lillian Mae Elmore of Englewood; his sons, Kenneth Elmore and Frank Elmore; his daughters, Marcia McKeen and Dixie Schrum; his brothers Roy Elmore and Marion Elmore; 12 Grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Begley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 18, 2013, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2970 University Parkway, Suite 104, Sarasota, Florida 34243.
