Eulogia “Lola” Woodbury, 79, of Englewood, Fla., and Gilmanton, N.H., died peacefully Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Belmont, N.H., surrounded by her dedicated family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Woodbury was born March 11, 1934, in Moca, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Juan and Andrea (nee Caban) Cortes.
She was a devoted Christian, mother and grandmother and was an active communicant of St. Joseph Parish, Belmont and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Florida. Mrs. Woodbury was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a Eucharistic Minister.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed walks with her daughter. Her family and her spiritual life were her greatest priorities. Mrs. Woodbury was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed dancing and taking cruises with her loving husband.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles “Woody” Woodbury of Englewood, and Gilmanton; four sons, Steven (Susan) Woodbury and Robert (Cindy) Woodbury all of Gilmanton, Thomas Woodbury of Florida and James (Celeste) Woodbury of Belmont; daughter, Wanda (James) White of Belmont; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan Caban of Puerto Rico and Wilson Caban of New Jersey; and three sisters, Ladie Leon, Judith Nunez and Ludo Rodriquez all of Kissimmee, Fla. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodbury was preceded in death by brother, Angel Caban.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial and graveside service will be celebrated at a later date.
