Mildred Irene Bianche, 88, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Thursday Jan. 2, 2014, surrounded by her family.
She was born Feb. 6, 1925, in Ledyard, Conn.
Mildred moved to Englewood in 1962, from Putnam, Conn. She retired from the Charlotte County Public Schools, where she worked as a cafeteria worker for 19 years. Mildred was a member of SunnyBrook Alliance Church of Englewood. She loved to write poetry with some of her works being published.
Survivors include her four children, Lafayette (Diane) Bianche of Sarasota, Fla., Caroline (James)McCarron, Barry (Dottie)Bianche, and Linda (Jerry) Fleming, all of Englewood; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grand children.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, with services held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood.
