Denise Marie Hanrahan, 60, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, from ALS.
She was born June 12, 1953, in Chicago Heights, Ill.
Denise moved to Florida in 1980, and worked at Venice Regional Medical Center (now Venice Regional Bayfront Health) as a respiratory therapist for 33 years. She was a longtime member of Englewood Moose Lodge 1582, the Elks, the Eagles and Kelly’s.
Denise is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Hanrahan of Englewood; brothers, Clifford M. (Edie) Hanrahan Jr. of Racine, Wis., and Michael P. (Linda) Hanrahan of Englewood; sisters, Patricia (Zach Smolinski) Hanrahan of Chicago, Ill., and Colleen (Scott) Hanrahan-Herzic of Rotonda West, Fla.; nieces, Erin, Erica and Alyson; nephews, Zach Jr., Ryan, Tyson, Casey and Sean; great-nieces, Julia and Quinlan; great-nephews, Connor, Kevin and Michael; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford M. Hanrahan Sr.
A Celebration of her life will be in the afternoon Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Indian Mound Park in Englewood.
Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, Fla.
