Lori Viveros Colbert, 47, died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at home, with her husband and daughter by her side.
She was born April 17, 1966, in Rockville, Conn.
Following graduation from Tolland High School, she attended Manchester Community College, then worked for several years at the Chamber of Commerce in Hartford, Conn., followed by employment with the town of Ellington, Conn.
She and her husband Tom were married in 1993, and their daughter, Sarah, was born in 2002. They relocated to Englewood, Fla., in 2005, to be near family. Lori was employed by Home Health Services of Venice, Fla., at the time of her death.
Lori was artistically talented and enjoyed jewelry making and working with stained glass. She was also an avid fan of the UConn Huskies team.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, Tom; cherished daughter, Sarah, age 11; close family friend, Carol Wright; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Gariepy.
