David Porter Long, 74, of Englewood, Fla., and Baltimore, Md., passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014.
He was born in Baltimore on Jan. 14, 1940, the son of Eleanor Legg and John Long.
David served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid photographer whose works have won many awards including in a national photo magazine. David greatly enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay and Lemon Bay in Florida.
David will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda Godine Long; son David Porter Long Jr.; his daughters, Laura Harrall and Lesley Cronin; and his grandchildren, Carter Walsh, Alex Cronin and Emily Cronin.
A sunset memorial will be held on Englewood Beach for friends and family to celebrate his life. A memorial service will be held in Baltimore, at a later date. If desired, please make contributions to your charity of choice.
