Reggie E. Jones, 66, of Englewood, Fla. passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, peacefully in his sleep.

He was born Dec. 30, 1947, in Punta Gorda, Fla., to Benjamin and Norma Jones.

Reggie married Faye Jones on July 23, 1976, in Englewood. Throughout his life, Reggie was known for his famous dance moves, including the “Punta Gorda Stomp”; his love for fishing, boating and being out on the water; and his magical ability to tell a great joke or story. He was very involved in the life of his community, and passed along his passion for family and life on the water to his children and all who knew him. Reggie was a proud Englewood business owner, operating Red Jay Kitchens for 40 years. He was also honored to be a member of the Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary, where his commitment to his community was able to shine through, alongside his love for his fellow Rotarians.

He is survived by his wife, Faye; children, Phillip and Elizabeth; as well as his many friends and extended family. Reggie was preceded in death by a number of family members, including his daughter, Regina.
