Roland E. MacIntosh, 81, of Englewood, Fla., and Bourne, Mass., passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, in Venice Fla.
He was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Providence, R.I., to Roy and Sarah (nee Munroe) MacIntosh.
Roland was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and retired from the U. S. Postal Service, Providence. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family and many friends. Roland will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, of 23 years, Roberta “Bobbie” (Nordberg, Bachman) MacIntosh; son, James MacIntosh of Warwick, R.I.; five step-children, Sandra Bachman of Boston, Mass., James (Cynthia) Bachman of Marshfield, Mass., Nancy (Tom) Urbon of Marstons Mills, Mass., Patricia (Barry) Nebhut of Austin, Texas, and Kathleen (Scott) Powers of Douglasville Ga.; four grandchildren, Michael, and Stephen MacIntosh, Tara Houle, and Wade DeSantis; nine step-grandchildren; a great-grandson, Logan Houle; and several nieces and nephews. Roland was preceded in death by his first wife, Vilma (nee Evangelista) MacIntosh; daughter, Debra DeSantis; brothers, Roy, and Donald; and sister, Frances.
