Jennie Hadus, 78, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Englewood Community Hospital.
She was born June 9, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Vincenzo and Ignazia (nee Bracco) Mattias.
Jennie was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking for her family, and doing crossword puzzles, word searches and mind games. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Grove City, Fla.
Jennie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Albert; five children, Elizabeth (Kevin) Ashford of Englewood, Kathleen (Jack) McKellar of Venice, Fla., Dawn (Alex) Barber of Pensacola, Fla., Vincent (Tracey) Hadus of Virginia Beach, Va., and Michael (Kimberly) Hadus of Orange Park, Fla.; brother, Gaetano (Nancy) Mattias of Brighton, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Kelly (William) Trippett, Joshua McKellar, Shannon (John) Durett, Meagan (Kees) Sharp, Matthew McKeller, Amanda Hadus, Felicia Hadus and Jessica Hadus; and two great-granddaughters.
