Elizabeth “Betty” A. Jeanguenat, 77, of Englewood, Fla., passed away peacefully Thursday, June 26, 2014, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Betty had been a resident of Charlotte County for 15 years coming from Erie, Pa. She attended St. Catherine’s Catholic Grade School, and graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1955 in Cleveland.
She was a homemaker for 30 plus years until retiring in 1999 to Englewood. In her retirement, Betty went to work for Publix at Cape Haze, Fla., where she worked for over 10 years. Elizabeth was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth A. Chester of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, William Jeanguenat of Atlanta, Ga., and Gerald L. (Susan) Jeanguenat, Jr. of Atlanta; and two grandchildren: Charles and Bridget Jeanguenat. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Jeanguenat Sr.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5265 Placida Road, Englewood, FL 34224.
